On 6th June, Lui Baoyan, the President of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), led a delegation of TCM acupuncture experts to visit the New Zealand and was welcomed at Auckland airport by Robin Kerr and members of the AcNZ Board. 

On Fri 9th June the delegation visited the School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (NZSATCM).  Presentations were given by:   Robin Kerr, President of AcNZ;   Paddy McBride, Chair of the Chinese Medicine Council of NZ (CMCNZ);  Debra Betts, Program Lead at NZSATCM:   Liu Baoyan and Yuyang Yang, the Executive Vice Secretary-General of WFAS.

Discussions focused on TCM acupuncture legislation, education and development in New Zealand.  The forum included participation from TCM acupuncture experts from Beijing, Hebei and Hunan province in China.  As well as Joan Campbell, Vice Chair of the CMCNZ and Ming-Chun Wu, CMCNZ Council member and members of the AcNZ Board - Vice President Renjie Xi, Huanlin Lynn Huang , Ting Wang and Tracey Lindsay, and AcNZ member Angie Harding (Honorary WFAS Executive committee member) and  faculty and students from NZSATCM. 

On Sat 8th, the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine (NZCCM) held the WFAS TCM Acupuncture- Moxibustion "Belt and Road" Tour. The event was organized by WFAS, co-hosted by NZCCM and the China-New Zealand TCM Center, with the support of AcNZ, the NZASA and the NZCMAS.

The opening ceremony was attended by Liu Baoyan, President of WFAS; Wang Guochen, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nancy Lu  MP, Paddy McBride, Chair of CMCNZ, Dr Joan Campbell, Vice Chair of CMCNZ, Ming-chun Wu, Board member CMCNZ; Robin Kerr, President of AcNZ; Steven Xu, Chairman of NZCCM; Jessica Feng, President of NZCCM; Peng Wang, Chair of NZASA.  More than 150 local acupuncturists, TCM practitioner and students participated in the event.
